Morocco Desert and Anti-Atlas Discovery Itinerary
Reception at the Menara airport’s and Transfer to hotel or riad.
Departure from Marrakech to the Ounila valley by Tichka pass (2260 meters). After the visit of the Telouat Kasbah, we continue along the Ounila Valley to reach the village of Ait Ben Haddou and his famous Kasbah. On arrival at Ouarzazate, visit the large movie sets. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
We go through Tinififft Pass (1560 meters). Panoramic view on the High Atlas chain and the massive of Saghro, we continue via Draa Valley to Zagora. Visit the koranic library, pottery workshops and covered streets of Tamegroute, then move to Mhamid the last village before the open desert. Dinner and overnight under Berber tents.
We start in the morning a camel ride for discovering the region, have lunch, then go to discover sand dunes and arid plateaus by 4×4. Dinner and overnight in Berber tents at the dunes of Chegaga.
we leave Chegaga to Tata, a beautiful stage with high sand dunes and the largest plateau of Iriki, then we continue the road passing by the old villages and palm groves, it’s possible to walk in Akka and Iksabte. Dinner and Overnight in Tata.
We start from Tata for discover a rich region: oasis, rock-carvings, caves and collective attics. We begin our step by a stroll in the beautiful village of Tarrasste and its magic palm, then we continue the road and we will have the opportunity to visit Agadir Tasguent (attic more than 60 meters long, 6 storeys and 209 rooms). Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Tafraout.
we leave Tafraout, the city of artisans, we continue to discover the Anti Atlas with beautiful valleys and Oasis. Dinner and overnight in Taroudant.
We move to toward to the Atlas Mountains and the valley of Tinmal via a spectacular road of Tizi n’Taste “2000 m”, visit the Tinmal mosque of the 12th century. Dinner and overnight at Wergan in a lovely guest house.
After breakfast, go hiking in the morning, lunch in a private house. Afternoon, enjoy a “Hammam and massage”. In the end of the day, transfer to Marrakech. Overnight in hotel or riad.
