Djebel Siroua Trekking
Located south of Toubkal Massif, the Jebel Siroua (3305 m) is an old volcanic massif, a land of kasbahs and fortified villages with their attics « called Igoudar », symbols of a very strong tradition. At the foot of the villages, fields irrigated by mountain streams, growing barley, wheat, saffron and almonds. The women weave beautiful carpets and sell the product at the souk of Taznaght, Sheep farming is another important resource for local people, many sheepfolds, called Azib, are occupied by the Berber a part of the year (spring and summer).
The Siroua is visible from the summit of Toubkal and is considered a « natural water tower » because of the snow that accumulates from December to March. This is an ideal area for walking through fantastic landscapes and deep valleys.

Reception at the Menara airport’s and Transfer to hotel or riad.
We leave Marrakech and take the road of the Atlas Mountains. After the wergane dam, we continue our way throughout the Tinmal Valley and we go up the pass of Taste, which offers an amazing view of the souss plain, the road is meandering through the argan trees. we cross the small town of taliwine, arid plateaus and via a track of 6 km, we arrive at the meeting point with our team. we walk on flat ground to our first camp at 1400 m via the valley of Tisslet. Dinner and Overnight in Bivouac. 3h of walking. Elevation Q -: 200 m.
we begin the day with the visit of Tisslite gorges, we reach the Tizgui Valley with its many villages and terraced fields, we visit the superb attic of Tizgui, then we climb to our Bivouac at 2200m. Dinner and Overnight in Bivouac. 6h to 6h 30 mn of walking. Elevation P +: 800 m | Elevation Q- : 150 m.
We continue to rise, on the mule track, to the pasture and the sheepfolds of Tagragra, lunch at the camp, afternoon rest. Dinner and Overnight in Bivouac. 4h of walking. Elevation P+: 500 m | Elevation Q-: 200 m.
For this day, we have a mountain to climb, the summit of Sirwa 3305 m, with a panoramic view, that is the most amazing, of the High Atlas and desert regions around Ouarzazate. Then we descend to the sheepfolds of Tisswitine. Dinner and Overnight in Bivouac at 2600 m. 6h to 6h 30 mn of walking. Elevation P+: 604 m | Elevation Q-: 704 m.
We take a beautiful path down through the valley with its terraced fields and villages « Ait Ighmour, Aït Tigga », have lunch, Afternoon, we cross a desert plateau to the village of Tizwad. Dinner and Overnight in Bivouac. 5h 30 mn to 6h of walking. Elevation Q-: 1000 m.
We hike in a lunar landscape to the village of Tamazirt, where we get the transportation, then return to Marrakech via Tizi n’tichka. Overnight at Hotel or Riad.
