Tassaout Valley Trekking : The High Atlas is sometimes called the « roof of Morocco » or the « roof of North Africa. » It forms a huge barrier, about 750 km, between the north and south.
The Atlas is not only an important place for grazing, but also became an open space where we can practice a variety of activities (Trekking, climbing….).It still offers a good opportunity to make more trips.
Not far from Marrakesh, the central High Atlas preserves wild places between gorges, high plateaux, fields, magnificent landscapes, Berber villages… so a great adventure and a nice trip is waiting for you!!!

Tassaout Valley Treking Itinerary
Reception at the Menara airport’s and Transfer to hotel or riad.
After a short transfer (60km) from Marrakesh, we reach the village of Taghoulite, meeting with our mule drivers who will accompany hikers. Then we start walking through villages with its small fields, arrival at the small valley of Ait Mhlli, picnic lunch, then continue to the villages of Ait Malk, Aït Mhlli, Aït Himmi. Dinner and overnight in the bivouac.
After climbing the Tawraset Pass, which offers a splendid view, we continue our way between the grazing to reach the village of Ighrem. After crossing the pass of Tomlilte, we stop for lunch. After that, we continue the descent into the gorge of Alili. Dinner and overnight in the bivouac.
We leave our camp and start walking between fields and villages to reach the valley of the Tasaoute. After the village of Taourirte, we climb to the ait Hkem, it takes 4h 30mn. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Discover beautiful landscapes of natural colors. We start with a descent through the villages of Ait Hkem, Aït Iran … Then we continue to the village of Assaka via Tizi N’oussaka, picnic Lunch. In the afternoon, crossing the gorge to reach Tarasst village. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
We climb the Tarast mountain’s and enjoy a magnificent view of a red earth and terraces fields, after crossing a typical village, we head down to join our lunch place with a nice view over Ait Adel dam . in the afternoon we continue our hiking to reach Ait Oumghar. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Walk for 3h 30m to reach where we will meet our car-driver. Return to Marrakech. Overnight at the hotel or riad.
Transfer to the airport, « End of our services. »
